Too Old?

Yesterday a system installer visited us. He told me that the PA system and MATV market in Malaysia is saturated.

When I advised him to diverse his business into CCTV, he kept telling me that he is too old to learn new trick.

He is only 41. For those who are old at heart let me share with you 3 stories.

The late Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong came up with the Genting casino idea in 1963 (age 45) and the casino eventually opened in 1971 (age 53). And the rest is history, he eventually became one of the richest man in Malaysia.

In 1955 Ray Kroc at the age of 53 opened his very first McDonald's drive-in in Des Plaines, Illinois and officially established the McDonald's Corporation. At that time he was suffering from diabetes and arthritis. His gall bladder and thyroid gland had already been surgically removed. But the desire to succeed burnt throughout his body.

Colonel Harland Sanders allegedly had 1,009 rejections when trying to establish his franchise, took to franchising Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants at the age of 65.
